seeking awesome COMMUNITY MANAGER

The League of Creative Interventionists uses public art to reimagine the social and physical landscape of our cities. We believe that our cities are more vibrant and resilient when our public spaces foster conversation and play. We work with communities to create participatory public installations that engage residents and prompt curiosity, creativity, and connection. The League has chapters throughout the US and world that carry out projects in their cities.

We are currently seeking to hire a Community Manager to help promote the work of the organization and our League chapters through brand building. As Community Manager you will be responsible for maintaining close relationships with League chapters and their various projects and communicating their campaigns effectively to local, national and global markets as one unified brand under the League of Creative Interventionists.

  • Set and implement communications campaigns including newsletters, blogs, social media

  • Provide engaging text, image, and video content for social media accounts

  • Design marketing collateral that promotes the brand and attracts new members and partners

  • Coordinated with League HQ to ensure brand consistency

  • Build relationships with industry professionals and journalists

  • Help structure the inaugural League Convening of all chapters



  • A go-getter attitude with an eye for design, creativity, and communication

  • Experience supporting community initiatives (e.g. launching an ambassador program, creating an event series or carrying out an email newsletter campaign)

  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. participation in projects, responses to communications materials)

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs

  • Expert in anything and everything social media - Instagram, Twitter, Facebook

  • Outgoing personality with ability to ask great questions and listen attentively

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills (verbal/presentation/written)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with the ability to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team

  • Able to communicate your ideas and execute on them seamlessly

  • Compassion



  • You are based in the Bay Area

  • Part Time, averaging 10 hours a week

  • This is a 12 month contract position

  • Stipend of $10,000

  • Travel expenses covered
